(Associate Faculty/Choreographer)
Gina began dancing at the age of 4 and competed in her first solo at age 5. In addition to her studio dance training, Gina also received additional training at the Minnesota Ballet Company and Twin Ports Gymnastics. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she dedicated her time to virtual learning such as Dance Plex Pre-Pro program, Resurgence Intensive, and Banuet Dance Training Method. Gina has also attended numerous conventions, intensives, and workshops throughout her career. Her hard work and dedication have earned her numerous judges' awards, overall placements, national performance invites, and scholarships. At the age of 8, Gina won her first title as "Miss Petite Spotlight," and has since earned 11 more titles, including Miss Masquerade, Miss Bravo, and Miss Junior Spotlight.
Gina's passion for choreography began at the age of 9 when she started choreographing her own solos. By the age of 12, she was choreographing solos and duets for other students. While at 218 Dance Project, Gina has choreographed two of her own solos and contributed to the choreography of one of her trios, as well as two solos for the MN danceteam competition. Her choreographed pieces have received numerous overall placements, judges' awards, and choreography awards. One special duet that she choreographed and performed in, along with Cadence Graber, titled "Heaven," achieved 1st place overall at a national competition!
Looking ahead, Gina is excited to specialize in choreography, conditioning, and technique. She is passionate about fostering individual growth, promoting teamwork, and guiding students to reach their full potential.
JP RAMLER
(Instructor)
From an early age, JP has been a passionate athlete, starting with softball in elementary and and soccer in junior high school before transitioning to gymnastics and dance in high school. She concluded her high school career as a captain of the Wayzata high school Trojets dance team.
Her love for teaching began early, as she organized, dance and gymnastics summer camps for neighborhood kids. The passion for working with children continued into her professional life. As a mother of three competitive dancers, she embraced the role of dance mom and found joy in blending acro and dance.
For the past decade, JP has been a dedicated family and child photographer, adept at capturing the unique personalities of children from toddlers to teenagers. Her experience in photography has honed her skills in working with young people, making her a natural fit for teaching. She loves working with dancers in front of her camera and now in the studio as well.
Combining her love of dance and working with children, JP started teaching at 218 in 2022 and currently teaches creative movement and technique to our youngest students and acro to students of all ages.
Growing up as a competitive gymnast, Katie developed a deep passion for the sport from an early age. This passion naturally transitioned into a coaching role during college, where Katie dedicated time to coaching recreational gymnastics.
As a parent of two girls who are actively involved in competition dance, Katie has a unique perspective on the dedication and discipline required in both acro and dance. This experience has further fueled the love for teaching acro, with a strong emphasis on safety, strength and fundamental skills.
Katie finds immense joy in watching kids achieve their goals and is committed to fostering an environment where young athletes can thrive and grow. With focus on building a solid foundation, Katie ensures that every student not only improves their skills but also gains confidence and a love for the sport.
